Trekking: Puno – Colca canyon – Oasis – Arequipa4D/3N
DESCRIPTION:
DAY 1: PUNO CHIVAY:
6:00 a.m. 6:15 a.m. Pick up at your hotels near the main square, hours. And we will depart from the city of Puno to the town of Chivay and we will make three stops: pampas Cañahuas, Patapampa, Lagunillas. First stop is made in “Lagunillas”, in this viewpoint you have a panoramic view of the small lakes is also the habitat of flamingos, Andean gulls and other birds, without a doubt, a great opportunity to take photographs. We will observe wild birds such as flamingos, Andean gulls and ducks. Second stop, Pampa Cañahuas or the national reserve Salinas and Aguada Blanca in this place We will appreciate the rock formations and South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas and alpacas. Our last stop Patapampa (Mirador de Volcanes) located at 4,950 m.a.s.l. from where we will appreciate the volcanoes Misti, Chachani and Ampato Patahuasi to drink mate and make use of. DAY 2: CHIVAY – CONDOR CROSS – CABANACONDE – SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO:
6:30 a.m. where we will have continental breakfast in the hotel or hostel, where we will have an hour and thirty minutes of visit to be able to appreciate the flight of the Condors and the depth of the Colca Canyon (3207 m.a.s.l.), then continue to the village of Cabanaconde (30 min.) where we will have lunch (12:00 hrs.).
13:00 p.m. We will descend the Canyon walking for 03 ½ hrs., to reach the Colca River, where we can rest. Then continue the walk crossing the first suspension bridge in the area and arrive at the first town (San Juan de Chuccho), where we will rest in bungalow – like houses of local people while the guide is responsible for group feeding. Overnight in adobe/mud bungalows.
DAY 3: SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO – OASIS:
After breakfast we will restart the trek, for 3 hours, visiting different towns such as: Cosñirhua (40 min climb) and Malta (Site Museum, where we will share with local people their customs and historical experiences, besides the explanation of the guide on the flora (medicinal plants) and fauna.12:00 We arrive at the Oasis, a peaceful and charming place, where we will enjoy its swimming pools, surrounded by palm trees and an impressive nature, here we will have the afternoon free to relax and enjoy the landscape. guide will take care of the group feeding, overnight in adobe/mud bungalow.
DAY 04: OASIS – CABANACONDE – CHIVAY – AREQUIPA OR PUNO:
05:00 Am: Breakfast, we start the trek again and this time of ascent for 3 ½ hrs.
9:00 a.m. you will arrive to the town of Cabanaconde. In this town, we will take the return bus to the city of Chivay, making tourist stops in the traditional town of Maca, and natural viewpoints to appreciate the pre – Inca terraces of the valley among others.
11:30 hrs.: arrival to the town of Chivay, time to visit the thermal baths of La Calera (1 hour), then lunch.
AREQUIPA RETURN:
13:30 hrs. departure from the town of Chivay to the city of Arequipa
05:30 p.m. we will be arriving to white city of Arequipa and transfer to your hotels or near the Main square of Arequipa.
ITINERARY:
DAY 1 PUNO – CHIVAY
- 06:00 to 06:10 transfer and pick up from your hotels in the city of Puno
- 08:30 a.m. Lagunillas: observation of wild birds.
- 10:15 a.m. Pampa Cañahuas: Landscape observation / coca or coffee mate.
- 11:15 a.m. Patapampa Volcano Viewpoint: The highest point of the route 4,950 m.a.s.l.
- 12:30 arrival at the town of Chivay, to our tour office south routes (half a block from the main square) Overnight at the hostel ** or hotel
- Free time in the afternoon
DAY 2: CHIVAY – COLCA CANYON – SAN JUAN DE CHUCHO
- 6:30 a.m. continental breakfast, we pick you up from your hotels in the town of Chivay,
- 6:50 a.m. way from the town of Chivay to the Colca canyon,
- 08:30 a.m. visit to the cross of the condor
- 10:00 a.m. exit from the Colca Canyon
- 10:40 a.m. arrival at Cabanaconde and descend walking for 03 ½ hrs.

DAY 3: SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO – OASIS:
- 7:30 a.m. breakfast we will restart the trek, for 3 hours, visiting different towns such as: Cosñirhua (40 min climb) and Malata.
- 12:00: We will arrive at the Oasis, where we will enjoy its pools, and. Break. The guide will take charge of feeding the group, spend the night in bungalows.
DAY 04: OASIS – CABANACONDE – CHIVAY – AREQUIPA OR PUNO:
- 05:00 a.m. Breakfast,
- 5:30 am. We started the hike and this time of ascent for 3 ½ hrs.
- 09:30 a.m. Arrive to the town of Cabanaconde.
- 09:40 a.m., we will take the return bus, to the city of Chivay, making tourist stops
- 11:40 hrs.: arrival to the town of Chivay, time to visit the thermal and medicinal baths of Calera (1 hour), after lunch.
AREQUIPA:
- 13:30 hrs. departure from the town of Chivay to the city of Arequipa
- 05:30 p.m. we will be arriving to white city of Arequipa and transfer to your hotels or near the Main square of Arequipa.
