Trekking: Arequipa – Colca canyon – Cabanaconde – Oasis – Puno 2D/1N
DESCRIPTION:
DAY 1: AREQUIPA – CRUZ DEL CONDOR – CABANACONDE – OASIS :
2:30 to 3:00 a.m. The pickup is from hotels located downtown Arequipa, then we will go towards the town of Chivay in approximately 3 ½ hrs. (164 km). Where we will have the continental breakfast
6:30 am: we will travel (42 km) until we reach Cruz del Condor, after that where we will have 1 hour and 30 minutes. Approximately to appreciate the flight of the condors and the depth of the Canyon (3207 meters),
10:00 am We will start the trek in descent to the Canyon (3 ½ hrs.).
At 13:30 p.m. we will arrive at the first suspension bridge, rest and continue our walk where the guide will prepare the food for the group while we rest, after lunch we will continue the march, for 3 ½ hrs., this time to visit the villages of Malata and Cosñirhua, sharing their customs and stories with their people.
5:00 p.m. we will arrive at the Oasis, a peaceful and charming place, where we will enjoy its swimming pools, surrounded by palm trees and its lodges. Rest in bungalow typical of the area.
DAY 2: OASIS – CABANACONDE – CHIVAY – PUNO :
At 5:00 am. We started the walk again, this time of ascent for 3 ½ hrs. 8:30 a.m. Arrival to the town of Cabanaconde, visit the town, in this town we will take the private bus back to the city of Chivay, making tourist stops in the traditional town of Macay natural viewpoints to appreciate the pre – Inca valley, between others.
12:00 hrs. Arrival to town of Chivay, you have time for hot springs (optional). After lunch, we will return to the city of Arequipa or Puno
PUNO :
13:10 hrs. Departures from town of Chivay to the city of Puno.
7:30 p.m. We return to the city of Puno, and to its nearby hotels or to the Main square de Puno.
ITINERARY:
DAY 1 :
- 2:30 A 3:00 a.m. Pick you up from your hotel near the main square in Arequipa,
- 6:30 a.m. Arrival to Chivay continental breakfast
- 7:00 a.m. departure to Colca canyon, then we visited 01 hour in the canyon
- 8:30 a.m. we will leave from Cruz del Condor to Cabanaconde
- 10:30 a.m. We arrive at Cabanaconde; you walk down to the canyon (3 ½ hrs.).
- 13:00 p.m. lunch in one of the little towns
- 5:00 pm we will arrive at the Oasis enjoying its pools, Rest in bungalow
DAY 2 :
- 5:00 Am. We will start the walk, this time of ascent 3 ½ hrs.
- 08:30 a.m. to arrival to Cabanaconde, return bus, Chivay town, with stops
- 12:00 hrs. Arrival to town of Chivay, time for hot springs (optional). After lunch,
- We will return to the city of Arequipa or Puno
PUNO :
- 13:10 hrs. Departures from town of Chivay to the city of Puno.
- 7:30 p.m. We return to the city of Puno, and to its nearby hotels or to the Main square de Puno.
